My name is Alexis Egan. I am an American who was born and raised just outside of Washington DC, before I left to study at Bryn Mawr College in Philadelphia. Most recently, I have completed my Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education at Towson University. I began working at SCIS as a Pre-K teacher in 2015.  Before SCIS, I worked for two years in Qatar in a Pre-K classroom, which sparked my interest in teaching internationally.  I am looking forward to a wonderful time teaching and learning at SCIS in the upcoming years!

    Pudong Lower School
My name is Kate Enoch and I am the upper school choir, drama, and 5th grade ESOL teacher at SCIS Pudong. I feel very privileged to share the subjects I love with students and give them opportunities to express themselves creatively through performance. The performing arts is an important and effective tool for forging confident and capable individuals and building communities of creators. I look forward to teaching and working with the talented students at SCIS. Before moving to China in 2010, I lived in New York City where I got my masters in music from Columbia University. I studied opera and musical theater at Lawrence University’s Conservatory of Music and also spent time training in Vienna, Austria. In addition to music and theater, I enjoy learning Chinese, traveling, practicing yoga, cooking and staying active with friends.
