I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with minors in French, Psychology, and History from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Master of Arts degree in Secondary English Education from National-Louis University. From 2003-2012, I taught at Carmel High School, a large public high school in suburban Indianapolis, Indiana, as well as three years as an adjunct professor of composition at Indiana University, Bloomington. The experiences of several former Carmel students and their families inspired me to begin teaching overseas, and from 2012-2014, I taught at Cairo American College in Cairo, Egypt. Born and raised in the north suburbs of Chicago, I have enjoyed traveling and studying internationally since the age of four, something I am looking forward to continuing in China and throughout Asia.
