SCIS in Partnership Discussions with CFCG

SCIS Board of Directors Announcement

Shanghai Community International School (SCIS) has engaged in partnership discussions with the China First Capital Group (CFCG), a Hong Kong-based leader in high-‐‑quality educational program development throughout greater China and the world. The discussions were initiated in February 2017 as part of the SCIS Board of Directors’ efforts to identify a strategic partner with whom they will be able to embark on the next phase of SCIS’s development and growth, and at the same time insure long time management continuity for the schools.

CFCG has the proven ability to provide access to an array of resources that will provide enhancements to SCIS school programs.  This is in large part due to the experience CFCG has with its affiliate educational institutions in greater China, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia. CFCG recently entered into a similar partnership with the Kindergarten through Grade 12 Kingswood School, founded 1748 in Bath, England, which, along with similarly prestigious institutions in the U.S. and Australia, will be open to collaboration with SCIS under the discussed relationship.

SCIS looks forward to continuing the discussions with CFCG and the opportunity to build a relationship that will support both organizations’ efforts to be at the forefront of international education.

There have been no major developments since this partnership was announced back in February.  Both SCIS and CFCG are waiting for the processing of applications to the Shanghai Education Commission to insure that the proposed cooperation agreement remains consistent with SEC regulations as they pertain to international schools.
