Students in Top Quarter in Waterloo Math Contest
For a third consecutive year, the Shanghai Community International School Pudong students Math club have been taken part in the Canadian Senior and Intermediate Mathematics Contests. These contests are two hours long, created by the University of Waterloo in Canada and are designed for the students to have fun as they develop their mathematical problem solving abilities.
SCIS had a total of 19 participants, 7 in the senior contest and 12 in the intermediate contest. In the senior category 2 students ended up in the global top 25% and for the intermediate all 12 students achieved the global top 25%.
